Dear Southeast Asian Coalition Partners, Funders, Clients and Friends:

It is with mixed tears of joy and regret that the Southeast Asian Coalition (SEAC) is writing to announce its leadership transition within the coming months. Thuha Le has been the Executive Director of SEAC for over eight years, and will be pursuing her lifelong dream of furthering her education in order to better provide for the community. Recently, Thuha has been accepted by the International Development, Community, and Environment (IDCE) Department of Clark University Graduate School offering a 100 percent tuition fellowship for a prestigious two-year program to earn her Masters of Arts in Community Development and Planning. We are grateful for her leadership, commitment and dedication that resulted in our successes today.Read more.

Dreams and visions of SEAC's founders were realized through Thuha's demonstrated guidance. Our foundation to integrate Asian immigrants to becoming better and productive citizens is well established. We achieved this success through devotion to our ESL program, youth group, and direct services to our clients and their families. We are proud to be the needed stepping stone in their transition as Asian immigrants, and especially, we are proud to be known as the door to opportunities for our clients. Our accomplished mission is made possible by strong partnerships with agencies and initiatives in Central Massachusetts, by continued support from our funders with similar dreams, and by constant grass-root community support who were once our clients. Our Board is committed to the programs and partnerships Thuha established, and is grateful for her deliberate assistance during this transitional period.

We are hopeful that our search will result in a very capable leader for the Southeast Asian Coalition who will help us continue our services and improve the lives of Asian immigrants throughout Central Massachusetts. Any input that you can provide to help us in identifying our next Executive Director is warmly welcomed.

With this in mind, we want to keep you informed of our status during the transition and our progress in the search for a new Executive Director. Should you have questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email me at Oanh.nguyenfhcw@umassmed.edu. We thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Oanh Nguyen                                    Thuha Le
