English second language (esl) courses
A free program offered every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00-11:00am. Our curriculum focuses on reading, writing and pronunciation at all levels. We aim to advance students in their careers by developing social communication and management skills that extend beyond the classroom.
Student volunteers from MCPHS, College of the Holy Cross, Clark University and WPI actively support our youth with academic tutoring of all subjects. This also includes career path post-education preparation such as college applications, scholarship opportunities and job search. New volunteers are always welcome to join our team!
SEACMA hosts various workshops to help families overcome intergenerational cycles of illiteracy and poverty by providing integrated early childhood education, adult literacy, and parenting education in a unified program. Family literacy builds on the strengths and addresses the needs of parents/primary caregivers and their young children.
Vietnamese second language (VSL) courses
A free program offered every Friday at 6:00pm. SEACMA encourages success and integration of Southeast Asians into mainstream society, however, we continuously celebrate our heritage. VSL courses are an effort to preserve the Vietnamese culture and language between younger generations who are born in the United States.
